Drywall Screw with Type 3 Tip

Drywall screws, with their extremely sharp points and threads, are specifically designed to secure drywall to a substrate such as wood or metal studs. It’s these sharp points and threads that enable the lightning fast insertion of the screws into drywall and its support structure.

The screw head design, known as bugle heads, enable drywall screws to embed themselves in the drywall, resulting in a flush or recessed finish so that it can later be filled with a filling substance and then painted over to give a smooth finish.

For best results, drywall screws should be inserted with an electric screwdriver accompanied by a drywall bit. The drywall bit will ensure the screw sit at the correct depth so that it can be filled and painted over.

These screws can also be used for woodworking projects as their coarse thread is perfect when you are working with soft wood or man-made boards such as chipboard, Supawood or plywood.

With its Type 3 self-drilling point, these drywall screws are perfect when you are working with metal studs and results in the effortless insertion of the screws.
