EUREKA DIY: HOW TO INSTALL A SAFE USING AN M8 EXPANSION BOLT
Firstly, because the safe is made out of metal and you will need to fix it to three parts of a wall - preferably and if possible. The safe might not have the right holes in the right places, so you will need to drill the correct size and place. For a standard type safe, you would need three Eureka M8 expansion bolts. Refer to table for different drill bit sizes.

| Step 1: Use a 8mm high speed drill bit and drill holes on the sides of the safe that will be fixed to the wall. |
| Step 2: Position the safe where it will eventually be fixed. Use a pencil to mark the spot where the fixing will go into the wall. |
| Remove the safe. |
| Step 3: Use a masonry bit and drill 16mm holes into the wall where you have made your pencil marks. Unscrew the bolt from the shell and place the shells into the holes. The depth of the hole must be the same length of the shell. |
| Step 4: Put the safe back into position. Now take the bolts, put them through the holes of the safe, and fasten with a spanner according to the size of the bolt. |

HINTS
Make sure that you don't tighten each bolt separately. Rather, tighten each bolt a little, moving in a clockwise direction until all bolts have been tightened sufficiently. If you tighten the bolts independently of one another, you make find that the safe is not correctly positioned and it will then be problematic in terms of undoing the tightened bolts. |
